BestCities offers the best advice
The BestCities Global Alliance has launched an online tool kit – Best Events Centre.
It is a free information exchange resource that brings together exclusive content and insider tips to help local hosts and international organisers plan and run an international conference or meeting.
All phases of the process are included from selecting a destination, event marketing and business planning to raising sponsorship and risk management.
There are checklists, templates and presentations as well as tips and guidelines on working with airlines, PCOs and CVBs.
Industry articles, case studies and blogs have also been included to look at market trends and predictions.
BestCities managing director, Jane Vong Holmes said: "We tested the model on a group of international clients at our client forums in Singapore and Melbourne who gave us plenty of constructive feedback.
"They were particularly positive about the usefulness of a reputable resource for local associations who may be new to organising international congresses and new meeting planners in particular."
The Best Events Centre can be found at www.bestcities.net/Best-Events-Centre
This resource is free to all international association meeting planners.
