Blackstone acquiring Allegiant’s Florida resort
Allegiant Travel Company is offloading Florida’s Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor to real estate firm Blackstone.
Blackstone will pay $200 million for the 785-room Gulf Coast resort which houses multiple restaurants, a spa, a fitness center, pools and a golf course.
It also features more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space.
The deal is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of this year.
Allegiant says it will use the proceeds to repay debt and focus on its core low cost airline business.
“Allegiant has built a fantastic property and we look forward to bringing our extensive experience with large scale resorts to Sunseeker,” said Scott Trebilco, Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Real Estate.
