Blue Lagoon Cruises wins 2006 AON Fiji Excellence In Tourism Award
Blue Lagoon Cruises has been awarded the ‘Cruises – Overnight & Day Award’ for the sixth time at the 10th 2006 AON Fiji Excellence In Tourism Awards.
Receiving the award on behalf of the boutique island cruise specialist at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, Director Commercial Operations, Scott Forrest said he was especially pleased to see the company receive the award in a period that has seen the marine sector of Fiji’s tourism industry grow exponentially.
Former Blue Lagoon Cruises’ owner David Wilson was also presented with an AON Fiji Excellence In Tourism Awards ‘Lifetime Achiever Award’.
Originally scheduled to take place in December but postponed as a result of Fiji’s recent political issues, all funds raised at the AON Fiji Excellence In Tourism Awards have been donated to support the Tourism Action Group’s (TAG) efforts in rebuilding the destination’s tourism industry.
