Board level changes at Monarch Airlines
Tim Jeans has been appointed managing director of Monarch Airlines from February 1.
He was previously MD of the airline’s scheduled service division.
That position will be taken over by Liz Savage, who will join as MD of flyMonarch.com to take charge of the sales and marketing activities for scheduled business and commercial functions.
She was previously director of business development at EasyJet.
Jonathan Crick, currently sales and marketing director for Monarch’s scheduled service division, will leave to pursue other interests outside the airline industry.
He has been with Monarch for 15 years, previously in a number of senior management roles including Board director since 2000.
Monarch said the reshuffle will allow chief executive Peter Brown to expand his own responsibilities and take on a wider group role including the airline’s sister companies Cosmos Holidays, Avro, Archers and somewhere2stay.
In addition, he will workd closely with Alan Murray and his team at First Aviation to further develop Monarch’s third party tour operator business and oversee planned fleet changes at Monarch over the next few years.
