Board level changes at Visit USA
Peter Moss has decided to relinquish his role as Visit USA chairman.
Moss, who has served as chairman since March 2006 – one year longer than the normal two-year term – will step down at the next board meeting on June 25.
However, he will continue to serve as a board director until at least the end of his elected term, to end March 2010.
Kate Burgess-Craddy has been unanimously elected by the board to take over as the new chair.
She has decided to step down from her role as chair of the Visit USA Public Relations Committee because she will not have time to combine both roles.
In her place, the board has unanimously decided to co-opt Jonathan Sloan as a Visit USA board director with immediate effect and he will now take over as the new chair of the PR Committee.
Burgess-Craddy said: “Visit USA owes a very big vote of thanks to Peter for the invaluable time and effort he has contributed as the Visit USA chair over the past three years – a period that has seen Visit USA go from strength to strength with many more members, more activities and events and increased membership benefits.
"Clearly 2009 has a set of unique challenges and, as the new chair of Visit USA, I look forward to working with my colleagues in assisting members by continuing to deliver significant benefits and events as well as targeted, low cost marketing."
