Boeing has second consecutive month with no orders

Tuesday, 11 Nov, 2020 0

October was another barren month for planemaker Boeing.

It receives zero new orders for a second consecutive month.

It delivered just 13 jets last month and removed 37 more Boeing 737 Max jets from the order backlog.

It continues to slowly reduce its backlog of Boeing 737 Max jets as the grounded plane gradually moves toward FAA approval to fly again.

This could happen before the end of the year.

However, it finalized the cancellation of 12 Max orders in October.

So far this year, Boeing has cancelled orders for more than 400 Max jets, and removed nearly 600 from the backlog.

There is still a backlog of more than 3,000 for its best-selling commercial aircraft.

In contrast, rival Airbus won 11 new orders in October and delivered a total of 72 aircraft.
