Box cutters found on two more flights

Security staff have reportedly discovered two sets of box cutters, similar to those used in the 11 September attacks, on board two commercial airplanes in the United States.

According to the online news provider Ananova, passengers were evacuated from a US Airways flight at Philadelphia International Airport following the discovery of a retractable knife in a seat pouch, while another was later found on a US Airways plane that had flown from Maine to Boston Logan Airport.

A spokesman for the carrier admitted that the discoveries were “a security concern” and said that it was in talks with both the FBI and the United States Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

As reported by News From Abroad, a similar discovery was made just a few days back after a student smuggled box cutters, bleach and imitation explosives on to two flights.
