Boy band Blue unveils new aircraft
British boy band – or man band – Blue have reunited for the launch of American Airlines’ new ‘Blue’ aircraft.
AA welcomed the new Boeing 777-300ER to Heathrow yesterday after unveiling the airline’s new colours in January after 40 years of the previous logo.
To maintain the polished silver look a special ‘silver mica’ paint had to be developed.
Blue cut the ceremonial ribbon before heading off to Dallas and LA to film a music video ahead of starring in The Big Reunion.
The programme featuring former bands including B*Witched, Liberty X and Atomic Kitten will be aired on Thursday, March 7.
The new aircraft boasts ‘mood’ lighting, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout during March and a walk up bar for premium cabin customers.
