BP stops oil leak
BP has stopped the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, but it’s only a temporary fix.
Since the leak started on April 20, it is believed that up to 184 million gallons of oil has gushed out causing one of America’s biggest environmental disasters.
The well has now been sealed with a cap as part of a test for up to 48 hours.
US President Barack Obama said the latest development was a “positive sign” but noted that the fix was still in the testing phase.
Meanwhile, work continues on building a relief well which BP hopes will be a permanently solution.
