Brian McFadden lashes out at O’Leary

Former Westlife star Brian McFadden has launched an attack on Ryanair on his Twitter page.

The singer accused the airline’s boss Michael O’Leary of being a "scumbag" who "exploits hard working people" and "tricks them out of their money with your ridiculous loop holes".

He made the tweets after Ryanair charged him £70 to print a boarding pass and £80 for going 4kgs over weight with his golf bag.

"So instead I got the train from Liverpool to London to fly with an honest airline. Cost more in the end but its the principle of it," he said.

The tweet got other responses from disgruntled Ryanair passengers, with one saying she had paid more for a ticket for her 5-month-old daughter, who had no seat, than for her adult ticket.

In response, Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said: "We’re surprised that Mr McFadden, having agreed to print his boarding card, couldn’t manage this super-complex task, which is accomplished daily by over 80 million passengers annually."
