Brighton attraction closed after breaking down
Brighton’s tourist attraction, the British Airways i360, will be closed until Wednesday after it broke down on Friday afternoon.
Passengers tweeted about being stranded for over an hour and said they had to use a temporary toilet in a tent in the viewing pod.
British Airways i360 blamed a damaged cable for the problems.
It said the tower would be closed for maintenance until Wednesday and apologised to customers.
Pre-booked tickets for the closed dates will be valid for three months for customers who wish to visit on another day, subject to availability.
The viewing tower, which opened in August, had a spate of problems the following month and broke down three times in five days.
