Britain’s most popular seaside resort named by TripAdvisor

Friday, 23 May, 2013 0

Blackpool is Britain’s most popular seaside resort while London has been named the world’s third most popular city in the latest TripAdvisor Choice Awards.

The Lancashire town beat off competition from trendier destinations, such as Brighton, Croyde in Devon and Southwold in Suffolk to win the title of Britain’s best seaside resort.

However, Paris and New York were both considered by users of TripAdvisor to be better than London, which came third in the category of the world’s most popular destination. It was followed by Rome, Barcelona and Venice.

London was the leading British destination followed by Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast and Blackpool.
