British Airways adding summer flights from Phoenix

Sunday, 28 Dec, 2016 0
UK flag carrier British Airways is boosting service to London from Arizona next year.

The Phoenix Sky Harbor-London Heathrow route will be beefed up with three more weekly flights during the early summer of 2017.

Reservations are now live for the additional flights during May and June 2017, which will operate alongside the existing daily service.

That adds up to 10 weekly flights.

"The current daily flight by British Airways adds $100 million to our economy each year, so this new flight is a welcome addition to that impact and another sign of the strength of our growing market," said Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton.

BA has been operating nonstop flights to Phoenix since 1996.
