British holidaymaker dies from burns at hot springs
A British man has died on holiday in Bolivia after falling into scorching hot mud close to a geyser.
Retired magistrate Rod Keates, 71, from Leicestershire, was photographing the scenery early in the morning when he sank into the mud.
He was pulled out by fellow holidaymakers who heard his cries for help, but he died on the way to hospital from severe burns.
The Foreign Office said it was assisting his family.
