British Travel Awards reveals company shortlist

Saturday, 05 Jul, 2012 0

The British Travel Awards has named the companies who have been shortlisted to win an award this year.

The full list can be found on britishtravelawards.com, but shortlisted companies have already started lobbying for votes.

News International newspapers are supporting the BTAs by running articles on the shortlisted companies.

CBS Outdoor will be running a London underground digital video ad campaign to encourage voting in September.

BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said:  "Last year over half a million votes were cast, which was double that of 2010 and much of the increase in votes can be credited to shortlisted companies recognizing the value winning a BTA brings and stepping up their marketing and lobbying activity to capture votes from happy customers.

Consumer voting will close on September 30 when the final collation of votes will take place, with the winners kept a closely guarded secret until the British Travel Awards Gala night on November 1.
