Britons among thousands stranded in Portugal
British holidaymakers were among thousands left stranded in Portugal after a fuel pump breakdown grounded flights at Lisbon airport.
Passengers were reportedly forced to sleep on the terminal floor on Wednesday night.
Ryanair was one of the biggest airlines hit, along with Portugal national carrier TAP.
Although the pump was repaired early the following morning, delays continued into Thursday.
Airport operator ANA said 64 flights were cancelled, 11 were diverted and 322 were delayed.
