Brittany Ferries launches ski-drive packages
Brittany Ferries has launched a collection of ski-drive packages to the French Alps to help skiers avoid air travel.
The ferry operator says airport baggage restrictions and charges are making it increasingly difficult, and expensive, to check-in with skis and equipment.
It claims recent strike action and volcanic eruptions also mean that skiers can never be 100% certain they’ll make it to the slopes and back.
The new range includes a choice of hotels and self-catering apartments at six ski resorts: Alpe d’Huez, Avoriaz, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val d’Isère and Val Thorens.
Packages include both accommodation and ferry crossings.
A 7-night break at Alpe d’Huez starts from £152 per person for a family of four with their car, including en suite cabin accommodation on board ship.
