Brown heads up Emirates in Australasia
Emirates has appointed Barry Brown as its vice president for Australasia.
Prior to his new job, Brown – originally from Sydney – was employed as the chief commercial officer with Oman Air and before that he held similar positions with SriLankan Airlines and Hazelton Airlines in Australia.
Brown will oversee Emirates’ third largest market,
The Dubai-based airline currently operates 70 flights a week between Australia and Dubai, from the four gateways of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
It also operates 28 flights a week between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and two gateways in New Zealand – Auckland and Christchurch.
