Brussels to host airline IT summit

Tuesday, 15 Apr, 2004 0

Airline IT executives will be gathering in Brussels in June for the SITA Summit.

The summit attracted around 200 airline executives last year who participated in panel discussions tackling the latest trends in IT and the implications.

SITA president Peter Buecking said: “Simplifying the airline business to reduce the cost base and improve passenger services rests to a large extent on IT.

“By stimulating debate about the current and future role of IT we hope to contribute to the whole aviation community by helping them make the most effective use of their IT investments.”

The summit is also a chance to hear a preview of the ‘Airline IT Trends Survey’, which is conducted across 200 airlines. SITA produces air transport focussed applications, communications and IT infrastructure.

The summit is being held on June 17-18 at the Sheraton Brussels Hotel and Towers. For more details go to www.sita/aero/airlineITsummit or email [email protected].
