BTI UK in ‘multi-million pound’ account win
BTI UK has won the multi-million pound business travel account of market information supplier TNS after a five-way pitch.
The contract, initially for two years from January 2006, covers TNS’s 22 offices and 1,800 employees across the UK and will be serviced through an implant in TNS’s headquarters in London.
TNS cited BTI UK’s high service standards and competitive pricing, combined with the resources of a global organisation, as the main reasons for the contract award.
The company’s UK purchasing manager Tara Hucknall said: “We were looking for a travel management company that could offer innovative and cost-effective technological solutions combined with a very high quality service.
“BTI UK demonstrated that they lead the way in their industry, offering a world-class travel management service which fits well with our own position as a global market leader. We look forward to working with them to further develop and enhance our travel programme.”
The travel management company’s managing director Mike Platt said: “We are very pleased to have been appointed by TNS and look forward to fostering a close working relationship to help them improve the service they offer their travellers in the UK and meet the objectives set out in their business plan.”
