Budget carrier expands fleet with four new aircraft
Iceland’s low-cost carrier WOW air has bought four new A321 aircraft worth US$460 million, bringing its fleet size to 17.
Two of the new aircraft will be delivered in 2017 and the remainder in the following year.
Fabrice Brégier, president and CEO of Airbus, said: "The A321 will offer WOW air the lowest operational costs and the highest seat comfort and widest cabins for its passengers.”
WOW recently expanded its fleet with the addition of three A330-300 aircraft with a range of over 6,000 nautical miles and carry 350 passengers with a larger-than-average seat pitch of up to 35 inches.
