Budget looks to double size of UK network
Budget Rent A Car is looking to open at least 50 new branches across the UK by signing up more franchise partners and expand existing partnerhsips.
The car hire chain, which currently has 69 branches in the UK, is looking to increase its share of the UK market and grow its corporate rental revenue by a further £10m over the next three years.
It has spent the past six months developing an improved franchise propositions to help support new and exisiting partners, including a fleet supply programme allowing franchises to benefit from Budget's buying power. It currently has 46 branches operated by franchisees.
Commercial director Anthony Ainsworth said: “To double the number of franchise locations in our network is an ambitious goal but it also highlights the level of commitment we have towards our existing and new partners.
“The Budget brand has continued to grow across the world and is one of only three truly global car rental brands. Our plans for Budget across Europe are ambitious and we aim to make the company one of the key players in our industry, to achieve this we need to expand our networks to provide greater access for our customers.”
