Cambodia to accept Chinese currency
Desperate for a speedy tourism recovery, Cambodia will allow tourists to pay in their own Chinese currency.
The Minister of Tourism said tourism businesses will accept the Chinese RMB.
All hotels, restaurants, and other tourism providers can accept RMB Chinese currency.
The Cambodian Riel and US Dollar are widely accepted.
China is Cambodia’s top source market and essential to a full recovery.
Cambodia is targeting over 4.3 million international tourist arrivals this year, with almost two million expected from China.
Large group tours from China resumed a week ago.
