Canada in talks with other countries about vaccine certificate program
Canada is in talks with other countries to develop a compatible vaccine certification to facilitate seamless cross-border travel.
While Canada’s vaccine rollout has been sluggish, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said everyone will have the opportunity to be fully vaccinated by the end of September.
Talks about a standardized vaccine certificate system have been taking place with G7 partners and some G20 countries.
"It would make sense for us to align with partners around the world on some sort of proof of vaccination or vaccine certification," Trudeau said.
