Canadian polar cruise company arrives Down Under
Polar cruise expert Quark Expeditions has joined the International Cruise Council Australasia to capitalise on the booming cruise industries in Australia and New Zealand.
The Toronto-based expedition cruise company, which specialises in Arctic and Antarctic expeditions, has recently appointed a business development manager, Nicola Caygill, to expand Quark Expeditions’ presence Down Under.
"Becoming a member of the ICCA will help Quark Expeditions boost product awareness among cruise sellers, including innovations such as the first carbon neutral voyages in polar travel history," Caygill said.
Meanwhile, Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific – a conference and trade show focusing on the emerging Asian-Pacific cruise industry – will be supported by the International Cruise Council Australasia.
ICCA general manager Brett Jardine said the Council was pleased to be supporting Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific by participating in plenary sessions and panel discussions and conducting two introductory training modules for Asian-based agents.
The 2012 event will be held in Singapore on September 17-18.
