Carlson Rezidor appoints Asia Pacific director of global leisure sales

Carlson Rezidor has named Scott McConnell as director of global leisure sales for Asia Pacific.
 
McConnell previously served at Langham Hospitality Group and was responsible for the management of leisure, MICE and entertainment markets globally.
 
He also served in sales positions at several hotels in Australia and at the Millennium London Mayfair, in a hospitality career which has spanned 18 years.
 
"With immense experience in the leisure market, Scott is an asset to Carlson Rezidor. His success in sales excellence and relationship management will be instrumental to building the affinity of our brands and fully capitalizing on the opportunities of this strong and growing market potential," said Sandy Russell, vice president of commercial operations, Asia Pacific. 
 
In this new role McConnell will oversee all global leisure sales activity, key account management and new business acquisition. 
 
He is based in Sydney and reports to Cathy O’Connor, senior director, global sales – MICE, Asia Pacific.
