Carlson Rezidor has announced the signing of the first four Radisson RED hotels for the Americas.

Deals have been signed for Radisson RED Bogota, Colombia; Radisson RED Cali, Colombia; Radisson RED Campinas, Brazil; and the Radisson RED Minneapolis Downtown.

"RED has already garnered strong interest and development momentum in Asia Pacific and in Europe, so we are very excited to announce our first hotels in the Americas," said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Americas.

"For us, we see opportunity for Radisson RED in a segment we have termed ‘lifestyle select’ that strives to create a uniquely engaging, personalized guest experience."

Radisson RED Minneapolis Downtown, which will be fully owned and managed by Carlson Rezidor, is slated to open by the end of 2016 and will house 164 rooms, a fitness studio and the brand’s signature Oui Bar and REDeli.

Both Radisson RED Bogota with 58 keys, and the 91-room Radisson RED Cali are expected to open in early 2016.

The company also has several other Radisson RED hotels under development in Europe, South Africa and China.
