Carlson Wagonlit Travel has hired Jane Baker as a business development manager to join its CWT Meetings & Events UK & Ireland team. Baker brings more than 12 years of experience in sales, marketing and event management to the newly created role.

“Jane’s expertise in large creative events will help further expand CWT’s M&E services and lead our teams and clients to more growth and success,” said Alison Smith, senior director business development, EMEA. “We are delighted to welcome Jane to the team.”

Most recently, Baker was part of the business development team at George P Johnson, an experience marketing agency. She led her team in winning and delivering projects such as the launch event for ExCeL’s ICC, which was voted “Business Event of the Year” at the 2010 Visit London Awards.

Baker was named as one of the top 35 events professionals under the age of 35 in Conference & Incentive Travel’s A List earlier this year.
