Carnival Cruise Line cancels all March 2021 sailings

Tuesday, 07 Jan, 2021 0

Carnival Cruise Line has announced more cruise cancellations as it extended a pause for all US cruises through 31 March 2021.

Additionally some cruises have been cancelled beyond the end of March for various reasons such as rescheduled drydock work, and because they were longer cruises which are currently not allowed under CDC rules.

"We are sorry to disappoint our guests, as we can see from our booking activity that there is clearly a pent-up demand for cruising on Carnival," said Carnival Cruise Line President, Christine Duffy.

"We appreciate their patience and support as we continue to work on our plans to resume operations in 2021 with a gradual, phased in approach."

Guests and their travel advisors are being notified of the cancellations and offered options for a future cruise credit or a full refund.

The latest cancellations announced include sailings on Carnival Liberty and Carnival Sunshine later in the year due to drydock work, and sailings on Carnival Miracle and Carnival Freedom, which were longer cruises which are now banned by the CDC’s Conditional Sailing Order.

Sister brands Holland America and Princess also pushed back their expected restarts.

HAL extended its pause for all sailings through 30 April, including Pacific Coast and Alaska sailings, the Caribbean, and Mediterranean.

Princess suspended cruises until 14 May.
