Carnival Cruise Line has inked a multi-year partnership with NFL’s Houston Texans to become the team’s official cruise line.

The line will introduce themed experiences aboard its ships and team up with the Texans for local community service initiatives.

To celebrate the partnership Carnival will host a ‘Mom’s Dash to the Splash’ event aboard Carnival Breeze on its maiden voyage from Galveston on Mother’s Day, May 8, along with Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and linebacker Brian Cushing.

"We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the arrival of the Carnival Breeze to Galveston than by officially kicking off our partnership with the Houston Texans and hosting this fun event that showcases the ship’s spectacular WaterWorks aqua park," said Christine Duffy, Carnival president.

"Carnival Breeze is a fantastic addition to the Galveston market and will provide our guests with fun, memorable vacations and our valued travel agent partners with an exciting option for their clients," she added.

In addition to Carnival Breeze, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Freedom also offer sailings from Galveston to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Mexico.
