Carnival Cruise Lines’ 2,758-passenger Carnival Triumph will operate what it terms a unique new four-port, seven-day “Exotic Eastern Caribbean” itinerary from Miami beginning next April.

Stops on the itinerary include Half Moon Cay, a Bahamian private island, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, known for its rich cultural heritage and historical sites

Stops also include St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., which is known for perfect beaches, handsome mountain terrain and tons of shopping, and Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands, the Caribbean’s newest port of call, known for its snorkeling, diving and beaches.

“With the Carnival Triumph’s new seven-day itinerary, we are offering four fantastic ports that together offer a unique Eastern Caribbean cruise experience that is only available on Carnival,” said Bob Dickinson, president and CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines.

The Carnival Triumph features a wide variety of amenities, including a 15,000-square-foot spa, a jogging track, full casino gambling, and 18 themed lounges and bars with dramatic interiors inspired by the world’s great cities.

Dining options include twin two-level restaurants offering extensive menus and wine lists and a casual poolside eatery featuring 24-hour pizza and ice cream/frozen yogurt.

The ship also features cellular phone service, an Internet café, and wireless access in virtually all public rooms and areas.

All Carnival ships feature the line’s top-rated Camp Carnival children’s program, as well as “Club O2,” created in partnership with Coca-Cola, which offers specialized activities and facilities for teens.

The line currently has three new ships on order – the 110,000-ton Carnival Freedom, scheduled for delivery in March 2007, the 112,000-ton Carnival Splendor slated to enter service in spring 2008, and an as-yet-unnamed 130,000-ton SuperLiner – to be the largest “Fun Ship” ever constructed – set to debut in fall 2009.
