Carnival sending two ships to China

Friday, 30 Oct, 2015 0
Carnival Cruise Line has named two ships for its push into China beginning in 2017.

It will send the 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle to China in 2017, followed by the 3,000-passenger Carnival Splendor the following year.

The line has not yet revealed details about itineraries or where the ships will be based.

Parent Carnival Corp will then have four cruise brands operating in the fastest growing cruise market, alongside Princess, Costa and AIDA cruise lines.

"Given the combined experience of Costa Asia, along with other sister companies either already in the market, such as Princess Cruises, or entering the market, such as AIDA, the collective scale of Carnival Corporation’s Asia operations is unparalleled and enables us to tap into an immense network of resources and expertise as we launch our China programme," said carnival president Christine Duffy.

Several areas on each ship will be upgraded to cater to the needs of Asian cruisers.

"The team brings this experience to life for our guests on every cruise with a high level of respect, service and hospitality. We know this will resonate very well with our Chinese guests and allow us to exceed their expectations." Duffy added.
