Carnival Splendor to sail year-round from Sydney

Saturday, 08 Feb, 2018 0

Carnival Cruise Line announced Carnival Splendor will arrive in Australia in December 2019.

The Splendor becomes the newest and largest ship ever based year-round in Australia.

"Today’s announcement reflects Carnival’s serious commitment to the Australian market. The arrival of Carnival Splendor to Sydney represents a 66% capacity increase for Carnival Cruise Line in Australia, meaning we will be in the best position to give even more Australians the opportunity to enjoy the fun of a Carnival cruise," said Carnival Cruise Line president, Christine Duffy.

The 113,300 gross tonne cruise liner can accommodate 3,900 guests and will get a comprehensive refurbishment before arriving in Sydney.

That includes a new water park and F&B venues tailored to Australian tastes.

Bookings for Splendor’s 2019 sailings go live next month and 2020 itineraries can be booked from May this year.
