For the first time, Carnival Cruise Line is sailing a special solar eclipse cruise.
The 11-day Carnival Journeys Eclipse cruise featuring calls in Spain, Portugal and France on Carnival Legend departing from Dover, England on August 9, 2026.
It is part of its newly launched ex-UK 2026 summer season.
The cruise will call at Le Havre (Paris); St. Peter Port, Guernsey; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon and Leixões (Porto); Le Verdon (Bordeaux), and Zeebrugge (Brussels).
“The chance to see a total solar eclipse while exploring the cultural richness of Spain, Portugal and France aboard Carnival Legend is a truly special opportunity,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
The itinerary is part of a program of nine UK cruises from Dover in summer 2026, with nine to 12-day voyages on sale now, departing from June 7 to October 23.
Northern Europe sailings will visit destinations such as Copenhagen and Amsterdam, as well as stops in Ireland, England and Scotland.
One cruise also features multiple calls in Iceland.
Carnival Legend’s summer 2026 season in Europe begins with a 14-day transatlantic voyage from Miami in May that visits Liverpool, Holyhead, Wales; and Dun Laoghaire (Dublin), Ireland before arriving in Dover.
