Carnival’s Fathom cruise line added to POLAR Online booking engine

Carnival Corp has added Fathom cruise inventory to the POLAR Online booking engine, offering agents real-time booking access to Fathom’s ‘social impact’ cruises.

The POLAR Online system features more than 40 functions to optimize the booking process allowing travel partners to reserve staterooms directly online, search sailings by price, and automatically bill final payments to clients.

The system also allows changes to be made on deposited bookings, and lists bookings by various criteria such as by voyage, by group contract, or cross-reference ID.

There is also a tool for agents to easily upsell to higher stateroom categories.

"We want to give travel professionals more resources and make it easier for them to serve their clients so together we can unlock this burgeoning market," said Tara Russell, president of Fathom.

"POLAR Online gives our agent partners the flexibility to book and service reservations at their convenience."

POLAR Online is already used across several Carnival cruise brands.

The one-ship Fathom cruise line is Carnival’s 10th and newest brand, and begins voluntourism sailings to Dominican Republic next April and to Cuba a month later aboard the 700-passenger MV Adonia.
