Crystal Cruises announced that renowned chef, Anton Mosimann OBE, will be joining its  October 6 Temples of Gods & Pharaohs voyage from Istanbul to Athens onboard the ultra-luxurious Crystal Serenity.

During this 11-night cruise, Mosimann will share recipes and cooking tips, participate in a Q&A session and host cookery demonstrations where guests will learn to prepare a range of  dishes such as Marinated Salmon with Crabmeat, Coriander and Pink Ginger; Risotto ai Funghi; and Peppered Pineapple with Crème de Cacao Sauce.

The highlight of the cruise will be a four-course gala dinner which will be prepared by Mosimann. Many of his signature dishes will be featured including Poached Scallops with Saffron and Tomato; Veal Medallions stuffed with Shitake and Baby Spinach; Loin of Lamb with Mustard and Chive Crust; and Chocolate Fondant. In 1985, Mosimann created a healthy style of cooking, Cuisine Naturelle, that does not use butter, fat, salt or alcohol but relies on the natural taste of fresh ingredients.

Also lecturing during this voyage will be Fred Dame, Master Sommelier and President of the Guild of Master Sommeliers. He will lead guests through wine tastings to enjoy and compare appellations, vintages and varietals; learn the history of wine in the region sailed; receive valuable hints on choosing and pairing wines, and become more familiar with Crystal’s cellar of more than 200 selections, one of the most extensive at sea.

This is one of Crystal Cruises’ Wine & Food Festival cruises which take place throughout the year and bring together an award-winning cast of  celebrated names in cuisine and wine.
