Cathay Pacific appoints Europe sales chief
Cathay Pacific announced the appointment of Paul Johannes, as the airline’s new Head of Marketing and Sales for Europe.
In this role, he will focus on developing commercial strategies for the airline across Europe.
Johannes served the airline as Head of Global Sales since 2017.
He has over two decades of experience in the airline industry.
Prior to joining Cathay Pacific, he held key leadership positions in various airlines, including Vice President Europe for Qatar Airways.
“The European market plays an integral part of the Cathay Pacific’s network. As more and more countries in Asia open, we are excited to reconnect the two continents,” he said.
Cathay Pacific has resumed services within its European network since summer 2022 including multiple daily flights from the UK to Hong Kong.
The airline is set to recommence services to Madrid, Milan and Zurich in the fourth quarter.
Johannes joins the European team based in London.
