CDC updates cruise ship Covid protocols
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a new update for its cruise ship guidance. Based on ‘the latest public health conditions’ the guidance amends quarantine guidance for close contacts and updates the social distancing protocols on shore excursions and for local transportation.
It also makes amendments to some port agreements. The agency now oversees a voluntary program. The changes were welcomed by the Cruise Lines International Association as they ‘reflect the improvements in the public health landscape.’
