Balcony upgrades for passengers booking ocean view cabins are being offered for the first time by Celebrity Cruises.
The promotion forms a major part of the line’s ‘wave’ peak booking season promotional push in advance on new ship Celebrity Eclipse being based in Southampton in summer 2010.
The sales campaign includes early booking savings and onboard credit for consumers and incentives for travel agents backed up with trade press advertising.
One agent plus a guest will have the opportunity to win a cruise in 2010 on Celebrity Eclipse, the first time a new Celebrity ship has been deployed from the UK.
The campaign runs until February 28 and includes:
- 100 prizes a week in January and February highlighting Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Life enrichment programme on all bookings made through automation
- All automated bookings made between January and February will be entered into the competition to win a cruise for two on Celebrity Eclipse
- Mailing to agents including an information booklet
- Trade press advertising
- Online campaign including e-shots through CruisingPower
- A new brand DVD
Agent mailings and e-shots designed to increase trade awareness of the cruise line’s new ships, special offers and itineraries for the coming year will also be employed.
Alongside the trade campaign Celebrity Cruises will be running a choice of strategic consumer offers on bookings until February 28.
These include:
· A balcony cabin for the price of an ocean view on selected sailings
· Discounts of up to £400 per cabin booking
· Up to $200 per cabin onboard credit to spend as the customer wishes onboard including casino, spa treatment and shopping
Associate vice-president Jo Rzymowska said: “2009 was an exciting year for Celebrity Cruises and we foresee that 2010 will be equally enthralling with the launch and home porting of the latest Celebrity Cruises ship, Celebrity Eclipse from Southampton for the Summer.
“The Solstice Class of ship has received resounding positive feedback from all our guests and trade partners. So much so, that our bookings for 2010 on Celebrity Eclipse are extremely strong.”
