Cendant team to forge closer airline links
Cendant has formed a joint air buying team responsible for Travel 2 Travel 4, ebookers and Travelbag.
The company has drafted in David Gibbs from Travel 2 Travel 4 and Laura Lukan from Travelocity to head the new department which will give carriers one point of contact across the all the brands.
Airlines previously dealt with the companies on an individual basis.
Airline business development vice president EMEA Matthew Hall said: “The focus will be to create a win/win situation for both parties. Airlines get the widest possible distribution and new revenue opportunities and Cendant continues to play a pivotal role in travel distribution.
“As a single entity, we are in a much better position to demonstrate our relevance and to deliver benefits to our partners.”
