Chambers Travel Management has joined Lufthansa City Center (LCC).

The travel management company brings representation in the UK to the LCC network with its offices in London, Cheltenham and Glasgow as well as its Chambers Travel Europe location in Paris.

Lufthansa City Center is a global network of independent travel agents – equivalent to the fifth largest travel agency in Europe – with annual sales of €4.13 bn and 4,550 staff.

With around 600 offices in more than 78 countries on all continents, the LCC network will be an extension of Chambers’ reach providing additional geographical coverage for clients requiring in-country servicing, a statement said.

Chambers CEO Chris Thelen said: “Our membership of LCC is a major step in the development of the Chambers proposition in mainland Europe and beyond to complement our pan-European servicing strategy based at our London headquarters.

“LCC is a widely-respected brand which we are proud to represent in the UK und France.”

Rainer Schäfer, managing director of Lufthansa City Center International said: “We are delighted that Chambers have decided to expand their global coverage through the LCC network.

“With their high attention to quality and service they are a perfect fit and will help both themselves and many of our other franchisees to increase their corporate business in the coming years.”
