CheapAir: kiss and make up with a post-Ashley Madison vacation

Monday, 25 Aug, 2015 0

"We’re with you in good times and bad."

That is the message from online travel company CheapAir for couples in the midst of the fallout from the Ashley Madison website hack.

Acknowledging many relationships may be going through a rocky period, online travel agent CheapAir says travel is the best medicine.

The enterprising OTA is offering hacking victims and their partners a $50 travel voucher to get their relationships back on track.

"If your relationship is in ruins and you’re thinking about heading out of town, we have a solution for you. With the money you save on the flight, you can have a romantic dinner.  Let’s face it, you may have made some mistakes, but a vacation may be just what you both need right now," the company said on its website.

CheapAir is asking customers to claim their voucher with an email address that matches one of the hacked accounts from the Ashley Madison website.

A flight certificate will then be issued which is good for travel until the end of 2015, the company said.

The data breach at adultery site Ashley Madison has potentially opened up a ‘tsunami of divorce proceedings’ as one lawyer said, with personal details such as names, credit card details and ‘personal preferences’ of more than 30 million users out in the public domain.
