Cheaphotels survey: Miami Beach most expensive NYE destination

Now completely Zika-free, Miami Beach is back.
 
According to the annual CheapHotels.org New Year’s Eve hotel survey, you’ll pay more for a room in Miami Beach on NYE than anywhere else in the country.
 
It calculates a rate of $366 for Miami Beach’s most affordable room for NYE.
 
It is marginally ahead of Atlantic City where revellers will spend a minimum of $351 for the least expensive double room. 
 
Atlantic City’s 232% rate hike for the last day of the year was the highest in the country, the survey found.
 
New York City was next most expensive, followed by Nashville, Denver, Savannah and Indianapolis, all with rates over $300 for the night of December 31.
 
Ushering in 2017 is more affordable in Orlando at an average $179 while Salt Lake City, Utah turns out to be the biggest bargain at $109.
    
The report compared 30 major US destinations, analyzing rates for New Year’s Eve based on centrally located hotels of three stars or higher. 
 
The top ten most expensive cites according to Cheaphotels.org are as follows:
 
1. Miami Beach $366 (+111%)
2. Atlantic City $351 (+232%)
3. New York City $349 (+ 189%)
4. Nashville $344 (+192%)
5. Denver $314 (+161%)
6. Savannah $315 (+169%)
7. Indianapolis $309 (+225%)
8. Las Vegas 299 (+174%)
9. Atlanta $276 (+176%)
10. Philadelphia $274 (+125%)
