Chicago: In search of the perfect pizza

Chicago is offering visitors a seamless – and a more affordable way – to feed their pizza passion.
Choose Chicago, in partnership with more than 25 local pizza spots, announced the launch of the Chicago Pizza Pass, a new digital experience.
It invites locals and visitors to taste their way through one of the most iconic pizza destinations in the world.
This new program gives pass holders access to exclusive discounts and deals at participating restaurants as well as the opportunity to win special prizes.
For just $15, pizza fans can sign up today at chipizzapass.com and get access to deals until the end of the year – no apps or downloads required.
“From our legendary deep-dish pies to locally loved tavern style and beyond, Chicago is proud to have the best pizza in the country,” says Jordan Engerman, Choose Chicago VP of Partnerships.
“Whether you’re discovering new favorites, revisiting the classics, or chasing the perfect slice, the Chicago Pizza Pass is the perfect way to explore Chicago’s pizza scene.”
Chicago’s pizza legacy spans more than a century—from the birth of deep-dish in the 1940s, to the crisp, square-cut tavern-style pies and much more.
The Chicago Pizza Pass produced by Choose Chicago celebrates all this history—and the passionate pizza makers behind it.
It unlocks exclusive discounts, special offers, and prizes for hungry pizza hunters.
Chicago Pizza Pass holders will find participating restaurants located across 16 Chicago neighborhoods.
Deals vary by restaurant and range from free slices to discounted pies to buy-one-get-one free deals.
The full list of participating restaurants, which includes 27 different locations representing 19 unique eateries, can be found on the Choose Chicago website.
“We are excited to be a part of this initiative with Choose Chicago to shine a light on Chicago’s award winning, strong, world class pizza community,” said Robert and Dana Garvey, owners of Robert’s Pizza Dough and Kitchen.
“Lou Malnati’s has been part of Chicago’s pizza story since 1971, and we’re proud to join Choose Chicago in celebrating what makes our city’s pizza culture so iconic,” added Marc Malnati, owner of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria.
In addition to exclusive deals, Chicago Pizza Pass holders can also be entered to win exciting prizes:
Diners who visit five or more participating restaurants by the end of September 2025 will be entered to win a pizza party for 20 friends at a Chicago Pizza Pass restaurant.
Diners who visit 10 or more participating restaurants by December 31, 2025 will be entered to win the grand prize: a weekend getaway in Chicago that includes a restaurant gift card, a hotel stay, and more.
Pass holders can also vote for their favorite pizza spots along the way.
The Chicago Pizza Pass is produced by Choose Chicago and powered by the Bandwango platform.
The launch of the Pizza Pass comes after the successful Chicago Brew Pass, which encouraged exploration of more than 30 breweries over the past two years.
In total, this program saw over 5,500 total sign-ups for the Brew Pass and over 8,500 check-ins at local breweries.
