Chicago suburb has triple crown of convention openings

The Greater Woodfield Convention & Visitors Bureau 26 miles northwest of Chicago opened three new state-of-the-art centers. Recent grand openings included:

v      The $224 million, 45-acre futuristic complex housing the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center. It also has a 100,000 square feet of exhibit space located just ten minutes from O’Hare Airport and major highways.

v      The Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates is an 11,000-seat indoor multi-purpose family entertainment, cultural and sports center. It’s expected to draw 750,000 annual visitors with143 events. Some major sports teams have already named it their home arena.

v      The 65,000 square foot CoCo Key Indoor Water Resort is described as the “largest and newest family attraction and water park in the Midwest. It will be open year-round and is expected to be attractive not only to families but businessmen and conventioneers looking for after-hours recreation.
