China fully resumes HK, Macau cross-border travel

China cross-border travel to Hong Kong and Macau is now restriction free again.

Covid-19 tests will no longer be required, and the cap on the number of travellers has been scrapped.

The quarantine requirement was dropped last month as China’s borders fully reopend.

“There will be a full resumption of travel between Hong Kong and the mainland,” HK leader John Lee said.

It comes as Hong Kong launched a major global tourism campaign to boost inbound traffic.

It includes free spending vouchers and a giveaway of 500,000 free air tickets for tourists.
