Choice chases MICE with David Simpson
Winning a greater share of the business tourism market is the objective of Choice Hotels Australasia’s appointment of David Simpson to the position of Conference and Meetings Sales Manager based in Sydney.
CHA National Sales Manager Marcus Leonard said Mr Simpson’s 10 years in corporate sales would help Choice attract more meetings and conferences to its 290 properties throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.
Mr Simpson said he planned to fine-tune sales strategies with CHA properties offering meetings and conference venues, before launching a region-wide campaign aimed at professional conference organisers, event planners and business associations, adding, “I want people who organise and run meetings to make sure they know about the breadth and quality of our product so they put us at the top of their options list.”
Choice Hotels Australasia has more than 290 Comfort, Quality and Clarion properties in its portfolio and is part of one of the world’s largest hotel networks, Choice Hotels International.
