Choice Hotels International has signed a new franchise agreement which will see it open three new hotels in Belgium within the next 12 months.

The hotel chain said the 10-year deal with Dema Hotels and Oxford Hospitality would provide a local growth platform through which to rapidly scale Choice’s presence in the market.

The three newly converted properties, all in Antwerp, will become part of the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands.

"With numerous properties already in the area, this agreement is a testament to Choice’s growing momentum in Europe," said Mark Pearce, senior vice president, International Division, for Choice Hotels.

"We’re thrilled that Dema Hotels and Oxford Hospitality have come on board with the Choice family, and their commitment to this partnership proves that it’s an exciting time to be a part of Choice Hotels in Europe."
