Christmas comes early as Santa trips sell out
Newmarket Holidays is reporting its Lapland Santa Experience Day Trips are proving more popular this year and seats are selling out fast.
The operator is running one December departure from each of 10 airports across the UK on selected dates using chartered aircraft each carrying a maximum of 180 passengers.
The Lapland day trip from Humberside airport, on December 21, has sold out already and spaces are filling up quickly from other airports.
A spokesman said: "We usually sell out a lot closer to the departure dates for these trips, some as even as late as couple of weeks prior to the departure, so for quite a few departures already nearly being full and one completely sold out is a sign of the popularity of this trip.
"We have seen this product steadily grow in popularity each year, we believe this is due to agents having a better understanding of the products and referrals as these trips get great reviews.
"With Humberside already sold out and spaces filling up quickly from other airports we are urging agents to book their customer trips as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."
Agents have also shown interest in the day trip, with over 130 registering for the company’s agent concession rate back in July. In addition, many more are using Newmarket’s standard 15% agent concession to book the trip.
The trip includes a ‘search for Santa’ experience, a private family meeting with the man himself, a gift for each child, snowmobile and reindeer sleigh rides, tobogganing, husky dogs experience and lunch.
