CLIA chief to speak at UK conference
CLIA president and CEO Kelly Craighead will speak at the association’s flagship 2019 conference, taking place in Southampton in May.
Also, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, will give a talk to the conference attendees who registered for a space onboard Celebrity Edge on May 15.
Craighead will speak at the full-day conference on May 16, joining a speaker line-up that includes Azamara Club Cruises president and CEO Larry Pimentel and Virgin Voyages president and CEO Tom McAlpin.
Craighead has spent over 15 years in the public and private sectors, recently serving as deputy assistant secretary for travel and tourism in the US Department of Commerce.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, said: "CLIA is delighted to announce today two special speakers for our flagship conference. Kelly and Lisa are both proven leaders within their sectors and we look forward to having them share their insight, experiences and knowledge of the cruise industry, which will be invaluable to CLIA travel agents."
The three-day event will include a trade fair, a full day of conference sessions and a gala dinner. Delegates will have the chance to visit to visit two of the three ships in port for the event: Celebrity Edge, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and MSC’s Preziosa.
A limited number of spaces are still available to CLIA travel agent members.
